Elaine believes that freedom in movement is essential for a healthy, balanced life.  A neuroscientist by training, Elaine is fascinated with the interrelationship of the mind and the body. While working in the biotech industry, Elaine discovered the Gyrotonic method and its ability to reduce stress and tension, relieve pain from postural imbalances and develop deep inner strength to support her through life. As her physical body changed, her mental and emotional health improved. The results were so transformative that Elaine became a Gyrotonic instructor so that she could share her profound experiences with others like her. Elaine’s desire is to help people discover and renew personal vitality and resilience through personalized training sessions designed to foster balance, ease and strength in movement.

Leslie Hubbard | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor, Co-Owner

Leslie is a classically trained dancer and a Gyrotonic instructor by profession. Over the length and breadth of her dance career she came gradually to Gyrotonic practice as a way to maintain her overall health. The Gyrotonic approach is an excellent tool used to expand daily function. This tool puts the body systems in a healthy, harmonious state. Her goals are to educate people in their body’s internal state and self through a guided approach using Gyrotonic tools. To help overcome limits created by time, illness and injury, and enhance life via a healthy happy body, Leslie advocates the transformation of your body through fluid motion.

Ben Grieshaber | Yoga Instructor

Ben believes that living mindfully can have a profound effect on our world.  The practice of yoga has the power to align us with our most natural selves through the cultivation of mindfulness.  Through mindfulness we begin to see the interconnected nature of our shared experiences of life on earth and thoughtfulness becomes second nature. We all have the power each day to bring about positive change moment by moment. Ben is a musician whose love of movement and sound is apparent throughout his grounded yet flowing classes. He aims to give a unique and thoughtful experience to each and every practitioner through the use of clear concise instruction and hands-on assisting. He has studied with and been inspired by Lisa Black, Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Shiva Rea, as well as many others.

Erica Badgeley | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor

Erica Badgeley has been teaching Gyrotonic methods since 2010, and will be a certified Gyrokinesis Trainer in December 2017. She has absorbed a wealth of information from top Master Trainers in San Francisco, Seattle, Brussels, and Rome. Her teaching is additionally influenced by her dance, martial arts, and energy work training. Erica strives to integrate healthy primal movement patterns with modern-day medical knowledge, making it a priority to find the best moment modality for each individual. Erica is a professional dancer who has freelanced in Seattle, New York, Brussels, and Salzburg, and toured throughout Europe. Jamien Cvjetnicanin | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor

For nearly twenty years, Jamien Rose (Cvjetnicanin) has been helping people come home to themselves through the process of embodiment. She has taught Gyrotonic movement since 2004, Pilates since 1999, completed additional movement certifications, and continues to study complimentary subjects/techniques. With a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill in Human Movement Science, a certificate in somatic education,  rehabilitation experience as a PT aide and OT volunteer, and years in professional ballet and modern dance, she is effective with a wide range of clients.  She offers empathic, intuitive and knowledgeable guidance to people with neurological issues and other disabilities, dancers, and those wanting a deeper sense of integration and connection within themselves.  Please see www.JamienRose.com for more information.

Judy Patneaude | GYROKINESIS® Instructor

Judy has been practicing the GYROKINESIS® expansion system for the last 20 years. Introduced to it by a friend, she was hooked from the start.  The fluid movements, emphasizing breath, articulation, balance, inner core and lengthening, wake the whole body and mind, and bring renewed energy, flexibility, strength and confidence. For her, this practice has been life changing. As a young person, Judy was a dancer, studying ballet, tap and jazz. She taught dance while in high school. After a full and satisfying career as a middle school teacher-librarian, she is looking forward to bringing balance, increased flexibility, strength, and a sense of fun to students. She invites others to journey with her and discover the transformational benefits of GYROKINESIS® movement.

Kendal Ruland |  GYROTONIC® Instructor

Kendal was first introduced to the Gyrotonic method over 10 years ago. She instantly fell in love with the system and how it supported her as a classically trained ballet dancer. Kendal has been a dance instructor and choreographer for various schools and productions over the past several years. Currently she is teaching private sessions and group classes at Seattle Changing Room and PIVOT. Additionally Kendal teaches ballet and other forms of dance at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Cascade Dance Academy, Inspire Academy of Dance and Ballard Academy of Music and Dance. .

Kim Magden​ | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor

When you reach deep within yourself and take a full, centering breath, the world’s pressures start to float away. Kim focuses on combining breath with movement to guide releasing common tensions. Whether you are coming to fitness after a long hiatus or are looking for something new to balance your workout routine, Kim designs sessions that help you on your journey toward better health and fitness. Through her own practice and training, Kim overcame injury limitations and strengthened overused muscles.  Kim has studied dance including ballet, ballroom, contemporary and jazz in New York, Seattle, and Tacoma. She is an avid knitter (Ravelry @KMDesigns) and content strategist. Michele Curtis | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor

Michele Curtis came from a dance and theatre background and has been a massage therapist since 1994. She works with many athletes, movers and active people. Her specialty is Injury Recovery, Deep Tissue and Lymphatic Therapy. Michele began her Gyrokinesis practice 10 years ago bringing her knowledge of kinesiology and anatomy connecting the fluidity of movement and breath to her instruction. Michele welcomes all walks of life to try this movement for the benefits of stability, strength, length and mobility. Michele believes Gyrokinesis brings the body and mind back to a state of harmony and balance. She is also a practicing Herbalist and has her own line of botanical and medicinal products. Miguele de Quadros-Sherry was a 10 year old ballet student when she was first introduced to the Gyrotonic Expansion System. At 14 years old, she was given the opportunity to participate in Gyrokinesis classes with Juliu Horvath. She was certified as a trainer in 2013 and apprenticed at GYROTONIC Seattle under the tutelage of Magali Messac. In 2015, she was chosen to be part of Hilary Cartwright’s mentorship program and began teaching her work, Yoga Narada (formerly Yoga for Dancers). Miguele works with a wide range of clients, adapts her teaching approach to reach everyone, and helps find ways to overcome perceived limitations.

Penny Laine is a multifaceted athlete competing in kiteboarding and waterpolo competitions. Penny has a long history of teaching movement skills through both Pilates and kiteboarding instruction. In her spare time she loves sports and has years of experience in: competitive kiteboarding, roller skating, mountain biking, water polo and snowboarding. She has been dancing Argentine Tango for the past 15 years.  Her greatest love is helping people achieve optimal health and loves to make people laugh. She wants to teach Gyrotonic the rest of her life.

Sara Rose Thomsen | GYROTONIC® Instructor

Sara Rose grew up in the beautiful San Juan Islands and spent her early years in Waldorf education. She started movement training in 1992 with martial arts and classical and contemporary dance. Alongside a Ballroom/Latin, and Argentine Tango dance career that began in 1996, Sara studied Forrest yoga in 2000, traveled and toured with Ana Forrest through Europe and the US, bringing Forrest yoga to Argentina while studying and teaching tango. In 2012 Sara began studying the Gyrotonic method because it is the preferred training of tango dancers around the world. Combining the refined eye of a dancer and the wisdom and healing techniques of yoga, Sara is passionate about teaching students Gyrotonic methods to re-balance, heal and achieve optimal movement throughout their lives.

Sonia Petecka |  Yoga Instructor

Sonia is a yoga instructor, life coach and a Human Design reader dedicated to helping people build the life they desire through yoga, meditation, Human Design, self-care and journaling. Kundalini Yoga became the basis of Sonia’s path to healing and self-awareness during a stressful challenging time in her life while in business school. She completed her Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher training at Golden Bridge Yoga in 2016 and has been teaching ever since. Sonia’s classes are aimed at releasing tension and working through blocks to live a more joyful fulfilled life. Sonia’s classes bring mind, body and into balance, creating physical and mental strength so that students can connect to their truth and feel better equipped to handle the challenges of life. Sonia’s classes are good for all levels, including first-time and longtime Kundalini practitioners. Wendy Fink | GYROTONIC® Instructor

Wendy has dedicated the majority of her life to the study of movement. Her 25-year professional dance and teaching career began in high school and included European and Asian tours with various dance companies. In 1995 she founded San Francisco-based Earth Circus Productions, using performing arts to tell thematic stories to private and public audiences worldwide. Wendy trained in the Gyrotonic method to restore fluidity in her body and to help others improve their health and vitality. Wendy shows great commitment to her clients' well-being,  exploring deep body awareness to create pathways to new discoveries and profound change. Her joy is inspiring and teaching clients to connect to the fundamentals of this incredible movement modality, resulting in inner strength, increased coordination, flexibility and postural alignment to enhance quality of life.
