GYROTONIC® Level 1 Pre-Training Course

Course and Registration Information
The Gyrotonic Level 1 Pre-Training Course is a 6-day course that takes place over two consecutive weekends. It is the first of four courses in the Gyrotonic Level 1 Teacher Training Program. This course may also be taken for personal enrichment by anyone wishing to deepen their Gyrotonic practice. Prerequisite: At least 10 sessions or classes with a certified Gyrotonic Level 1 Trainer; or 3-day intro course with Pre-Trainer. Full course details, including meeting times (if known), payment information, and refund policies are available in the registration form. Total Course Fees: $1426.10 includes $240 Studio Fee, $1050 Course Fee, and $136.11 sales tax. Studio fee is due with registration. ELAINE SHEN is a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Instructor and certified Gyrotonic Pre-Trainer. She has been practicing the Gyrotonic Method since 2010 and has been a certified Gyrotonic Trainer since 2014. As owner of Seattle Changing Room, she is committed to providing a safe welcoming environment for all clients, trainers and students. Elaine holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University and an M.B.A. in Technology Management from University of Washington Foster School of Business.

In this course, Gyrotonic Trainers learn to apply Gyrotonic movement principles to exercises on the Jumping Stretching Board. Prerequisite: Gyrotonic Level 1 Trainer or Gyrokinesis Level 1 Trainer 35 course hours over 7 days Upon Successful Completion: Fulfills continuing education requirements for Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Trainers Full course details, including meeting times, payment information, and refund policies are available in the registration form. PAULA RIVERA comes to the Gyrotonic Expansion System from an extensive background in dance and fitness. Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Paula was first exposed to the Gyrotonic method as part of her early dance training, and later returned after a successful career as a professional ballet dancer performing in the US and internationally. A lifelong passionate interest in health, fitness and the mind body connection has motivated Paula to seek avenues that allow her to develop as an athlete and an artist from a healthful, grounded place. A passionate Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis instructor and Master Trainer, Paula is a co-founder and owner of Union Square GYROTONIC® located in New York City.
