The Gyrotonic Expansion System is a full-bodied holistic movement practice emphasizing fluid spiraling movements coupled with mindful breath patterns to create space and openness in the body.

Comprising GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods, the Gyrotonic Expansion System cultivates a healthier, more supple spine, increased range of motion, greater joint stability, improved agility and nuanced awareness and body control.

The GYROTONIC® method focuses on movements using the Gyrotonic Pulley Tower, the central piece of equipment for the method.

Sometimes providing assistance and sometimes providing resistance, the Pulley Tower allows individuals to find movements and body connections that would be difficult without the machine. 

Grounded in the same movement principles, the GYROKINESIS® method takes you on journeys of discovery through flowing movement sequences.

The exercises include combinations of seated work, floor exercises and standing exercises and range from gentle and slow to fast and aerobic.
